GeoJSON to KML Converter

Upload a GeoJSON file and get a KML for Google Earth instantly — Point, LineString and Polygon geometry all convert, and every feature property is preserved as ExtendedData.

TL;DR: Free browser-based GeoJSON→KML converter. Open the result directly in Google Earth (desktop or web) or any KML-compatible GIS tool. All properties carry over as ExtendedData fields, visible in the Google Earth info balloon.

.geojson or .json · max 9 MB
What you get: One Placemark per Feature. Point/LineString/Polygon (and Multi* variants via MultiGeometry) all supported. Feature properties become <ExtendedData> fields.
How the converter works
1

Upload your GeoJSON

Any valid GeoJSON FeatureCollection or single Feature works.

2

Geometry and properties convert automatically

Each Feature becomes one Placemark. Properties are written as ExtendedData so they show up in Google Earth's info window when you click a feature.

3

Download and open in Google Earth

Double-click the .kml file to open it in Google Earth Pro/desktop, or drag it into Google Earth Web. Also compatible with QGIS, ArcGIS Pro and most desktop GIS software.

Common questions
Will my feature properties show up in Google Earth?+

Yes. Every GeoJSON property becomes an ExtendedData field on the Placemark — click any point, line or polygon in Google Earth to see its full attribute table in the info balloon.

Does this support MultiPolygon or MultiLineString geometry?+

Yes. Multi* geometries are written as a KML MultiGeometry containing the individual parts, preserving the full shape.

Can I go the other way — KML to GeoJSON?+

Yes — use the KML to GeoJSON converter. Both directions are free and lossless for geometry and attributes.

Do I need Google Earth Pro, or does the free version work?+

The free Google Earth (desktop or earth.google.com/web) opens standard KML files without restriction — no Pro licence needed.

Export ArcGIS Online data straight to KML
