How to export ArcGIS Online data to Excel
1

Paste your FeatureServer URL

Copy the Service URL from ArcGIS Online (Content → your layer → View item details → Service URL). It ends with /FeatureServer/0. Paste it into GISGP Export Studio.

2

Choose Excel format and optional filter

Select Excel (.xlsx) from the format tiles. Optionally add a WHERE clause to export a subset — e.g. STATUS = 'Open'. Leave empty to export all records.

3

Click Export — download immediately

GISGP queries the ArcGIS REST API directly and returns a formatted Excel file. Column widths are auto-fitted. For large layers (>10,000 rows) the file is emailed to you within 60 seconds.

Common questions
Do I need ArcGIS Pro to export to Excel?+

No. GISGP connects directly to the ArcGIS Online REST API from your browser. No desktop software, no Python, no ArcGIS Pro licence needed. A free GISGP account is all you need.

How many rows can I export for free?+

The free plan exports up to 2,000 rows per file and 5 exports per month. Paid plans go up to 250,000 rows (Business). All plans include Excel, CSV, Shapefile, KML and GeoJSON formats.

Can I export a private (secured) layer?+

Yes. Sign in with ArcGIS Online (OAuth) and your token is set automatically — no manual token needed. Or generate a token in ArcGIS Online under My Profile → Generate Token and paste it when adding your service.

Can I schedule automatic exports to Excel?+

Yes — on Pro, Team and Business plans. Set a daily or weekly schedule and GISGP automatically exports your layer and emails the Excel file to any address. No manual action needed after setup.

Does GISGP work with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal)?+

Yes. Paste your portal's FeatureServer URL and a token generated from that portal. The export workflow is identical to ArcGIS Online.
